1. Check the working conditions. Before lifting or operating an electric hoist, verify that the conditions meet the requirements. Unsuitable conditions can create safety hazards and must be addressed before work begins.
2. Check that the equipment and accessories match the load. Check the counterweight arrangement and associated equipment, including hooks, pulley blocks and the wire-rope reeving ratio. A mismatch can affect lifting performance and safety.
3. Check the connection points. Electric hoists have many connections, and an incorrectly secured connection can cause abnormal operation. Before lifting, ensure that all relevant connections are firmly secured.
