1. Do not put a newly purchased hoist straight into service. Complete the required trial operation first to identify any equipment problems.
2. Operate within the permitted supply-voltage range and rated load capacity.
3. Adjust brake stopping distance only within the permitted range. Do not make arbitrary adjustments.
4. Follow the applicable rules for wire-rope use and discard criteria. Do not use seriously damaged rope.
5. Replenish lubricant promptly during operation and use suitable quality lubricant to prevent equipment damage.
